Prof. Cristina Calheiros is an Environmental Engineer with a PhD in Biotechnology. Currently is a Research Scientist at CIIMAR - Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research of the University of Porto, Portugal, Coordinator of the Centre for Monitoring and Environmental Interpretation (CMIA), Vila do Conde, Portugal and European Climate Pact Ambassador (European Commission). She is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Saint Joseph, SAR Macao, China, and an Invited Professor at the University of Porto, Portugal. She is Vice-president of The Portuguese National Association of Green Roofs (ANCV), a board member of The Portuguese Water Resources Association (APRH) (north region), and a Strategic Council Member of Aupaba Institute – Regenerative Tourism. Her work focuses on water management and treatment solutions with phytotechnologies, phytoremediation, circular economy with nature-based solutions, and environmental education.

Dr. S. Packialakshmi is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai, India. She completed her undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the Government College of Engineering Erode, Bharathiar University between 1995 and 1999. She then pursued her postgraduation and doctoral research in Water Resources at the Center for Water Resources, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University. Her doctoral research was funded by the South Asian Waters fellowship (SAWA) from Wageningen University, Government of Netherlands, from 2008 to 2012. Her research interests include Water Resources Development and Management, Advanced Groundwater Hydrology, Hydrogeology, Water Quality Modeling and Management, Socio-environmental Impacts on Water Resources, and Water and Wastewater Treatment. She has received several awards and fellowships, including the Mevlana Teaching Mobility Programme from Turkey Higher Education Council in 2018 and a certification as a lecturer for a virtual civil engineering class from FAVAG, a Brazilian institution of the U.Experience consortium, in September 2023. She has presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences and has published over 50 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. She has also published a book on Groundwater Resources and nine book chapters. Currently, she is guiding six Ph.D. students and has guided six postgraduate projects and 40 undergraduate projects. She has received funding from DST, ISRO, AICTE, and MoES for conducting workshops, training programs, and other activities.

Dr. Venkataraman is a Senior Research Associate at the Center for Multidisciplinary Research in Transportation at Texas Tech. Dr. Venkataraman previously held a research appointment at Penn State. Dr. Venkataraman is a lead/co-author of several top-cited papers in transportation safety. Dr. Venkataraman has served as co-PI on 1.6 million dollars of competitively secured grant monies in the United States. Dr. Venkataraman served as a member of the standing committee on highway safety performance and analysis and as an invited reviewer of drafts of the Highway Safety Manual, numerous articles for several TRB committees, and as a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Analytical Methods in Accident Research.

Prof. Wai Yuen Szeto is an Associate Head at the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Hong Kong, and the Director of the Institute of Transport Studies at that university. He is a Top 1 % Scholar during 2015-2023 (according to Clarivate Analytics’ Essential Science Indicators) and currently a World’s Top 2% Scientist by Stanford University. His current h-index is 65 (Google Scholar). He is an author of over 155 refereed journal papers, with two papers in Operations Research and 34 papers in Transportation Research Part B. His publications have been cited over 12700 times (Google Scholar). The publications are related to shared mobility, dynamic traffic assignment, transport network design, public transport, network reliability, game theoretic approaches to transport and logistic problems, modeling land use, transport and environment interaction, and sustainable transport. Currently, he is an Editor-in-Chief of Transportmetrica B, an Associate Editor of Transportation Research Part D and Transportation Research Part E, Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems, Transportmetrica A, Travel Behaviour and Society, an Area Editor of Networks and Spatial Economics, and an Editorial Board Member of Transportation Research Part C and International Journal of Sustainable Transportation.

Prof. Firas AL MAHMOUD is a full professor. He holds a Ph.D. in strengthening reinforced concrete structures from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Toulouse, France. Accreditation to supervise research (HDR) (2016). Prof. Firas AL MAHMOUD currently works at Lorraine University in France as a structural engineering educator. He teaches at several engineering schools. He was the Head of the Civil Engineering Department at Lorraine University from the 2017 – 2020 academic year. Furthermore, He also develops innovative strengthening techniques utilizing fiber-reinforced polymers and cementitious-based mortar. He supervised many Master's and PhD students. He is the author of dozens of research papers and the organizer of some international conferences.

Dr. Woo has a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering. He has obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M. He majors in energy systems such as HVAC and its heat transfer, optimal design and control of refrigerators, reliability design of thermal components, and failure Analysis of thermal components in the marketplace using the Non-destructive such as SEM & XRAY. From 1992.03–1997, he worked in the Agency for Defense Development, Chinhae, South Korea, where he was a researcher in charge of the Development of the Naval weapon System. He was a senior reliability engineer in the refrigerator division of Digital Appliances at SAMSUNG Electronics. Now he is working as an associate professor in the mechanical department, at the Federal Technical and Vocational Training Institute (FTVTI).

Dr. Gang Zhang is a University Distinguished Professor at Chang’an University (CHD). He serves as Director of the Research Center on Bridge Extreme Loading and Protection, Deputy Director of the Bridge Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Research Office Head of the Bridge Structure and Material Fire Laboratory at Chang’an University, and also Deputy Director of the Energy-Absorption-Device Technology Innovation Center of Bridge at Hebei Province. He has been “elected” as a “Fellow” of the International Association of Advanced Materials and Vebleo-Science, Engineering and Technology. Prof. Zhang’s expertise is in the evaluation and protection of bridge structure and material behavior under extreme fire conditions. His research has focused on the experimental behavior, analytical modeling, and numerical prediction of bridge structures under extreme fire exposure conditions, constitutive modeling of material properties at high temperatures, fire-resistant design of bridge structures, and bridge collapsed investigations. He has developed a fundamental understanding of the behavior of bridge structures and materials subjected to extreme fire hazards. His research accomplishments, in the field of bridge fire safety and material at elevated temperatures, have contributed and had major impacts on improving the development of disaster prevention and mitigation in transport infrastructure. Prof. Zhang, along with his students and collaborators, has led to over 130 peer-reviewed papers in journals and conferences. The most recent contribution from Zhang is a new textbook on “Bridge Structure Fire Theory and Calculation Method” published by China Communications Press.

Dr. Biao HU is an Assistant Professor at the College of Civil and Transportation Engineering, Shenzhen University, P.R. China. He obtained his Ph.D. from the City University of Hong Kong in 2017. His main research focuses on composite materials & structures, structural retrofitting, and sustainable construction materials. He has published more than 40 technical papers in international journals and conference proceedings (including 41 SCI papers), and these works received more than 830 citations recorded in Google Scholar. He is the principal investigator of 4 research projects and the co-investigator of more than 10 research projects. He serves as the editorial board member of several journals (Journal of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, Building Technology Research, and Construction Progress) and the guest editor of two SCI journals. He is a regular reviewer of more than 30 peer-reviewed international SCI journals. He received the Moisseiff Award from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in 2018.

This is full-time and tenured-track and pro-active Professor in the Department of Construction, Civil and Architectural Engineering and Management, Academia of ACMCEN, USA, the School of Engineering and Natural Sciences at the İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU), and the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Advanced Composite Materials, Construction, Environment, and Nanotechnology, academic editor of PlosOne, KSCE, and Construction Materials in MDPI. He has previously worked as full professor at various universities in both Turkey and USA. He is author of 260 peer-reviewed articles and pending-publishing articles along with book and book chapters published in highly reputable SCI journals and Scopus-based publishing houses. Also, he has h-index 26, i10-index 49, citations 1935, and a national patent on cement manufacturing through the burning of marble powder and brick powder as farina. He has, on many occasions, worked as an international reviewer, board member, technical and science committee member, organizing committee member and editor for journals, conferences, and workshops. His main research interest is based on the broad field of civil engineering i.e. structure, mechanic, construction, architectural, transportation (pavement design), geotechnical (soil stabilization), materials (cement, concrete, binder, SCM, ultra high-strength concrete, high-strength composite, fiber-composite), nanotechnology, sustainability, reuse, recycle, upcycling, NDT and APT measurement, SEM & EDS, XRD, XRF, FTIR, and DTG-TA.
